Diary of a wannabe artist

A diary of a wannabe artist.

Hello friends, and welcome to my diary. After reading ‘Show your work’ by Austin Kleon, I became convinced about how important sharing is. And I’m not talking about sharing my finished illustrations. I mean sharing everything. I know I’m liable to sound like a walking cliché when I say that, it’s not about the destination, but about the journey. Before you click away in disgust, please allow me to say that, however cheesy, the statement does hold through when it comes to someone’s art journey.

So many people are trying to get to this same goal, of becoming a working illustrator. Why would we make things harder then it already is by hiding whatever it is that we are trying out? I know I’ve done things that had the worst results. I want people to learn from my mistakes. I know I’ve also done things that really helped me move forward. And on the off chance of this information helping anyone else out there that shares the same goals as me, I feel like it’s a good thing to put everything out there.

Not just my finished work, but my progress, what I’m learning, who I’m discovering. What I’m doing to get my work out there and what worked. What didn’t work. Let me tell you about htat time I spend 60$ on a paid feature without any results, so you don’t have to. Let me tell you about that time I found
